Enable and Manage Calls with the Calls App

Effective communication drives business success, and the Calls App helps you manage incoming call leads on a dedicated business number. Your business can receive calls on a toll-free number or, when using the Local Calls App, a local US number. Calls can be forwarded to your team and tracked for follow-up to insure no opportunity is missed.

Note: Depending on your subscription plan, Calls and Texting may be combined into a single Calls and Texting app. If you are looking for SMS and texting features, see the Two-Way Texting article.

Getting Started with Calls

To begin using calls, install the app:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click App Market.
  3. Select Calls app.
  4. Click Install app, then Open app.

Publish Your Dedicated Number

When you publish your dedicated phone number, it will appear automatically in call actions, contact details, and action buttons wherever it’s used.

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Calls.
  4. Under Publish Number, toggle the switch on.

Note: Turning this setting off unpublishes the number. Call actions will revert to your account phone number.

Call Settings

Configure how your business receives and handles calls.

To adjust call settings:

  • Under "Call Forwarding", select the staff member and add their phone number.
  • Set the forwarding hours under “Availability."
  • Enable and customize the greeting message under “Greeting.”
  • Enable call recordings and choose the message customers hear.
  • Set the ring duration for missed calls and customize the message if needed.

Tip: After activation, call your new number to ensure everything is working as expected.

Manage and Track Your Calls

The Calls App includes multiple tools to help you monitor your call lead activity and follow up quickly.

Client Conversation Page

When you complete a follow-up, you can mark a missed or unhandled call as Done directly from the client card. Calls can only be reviewed individually, not in bulk.

Additional Call Features

  • Receive calls on your business’s local number
  • Capture leads automatically when new callers are identified by phone number
  • Track the status of answered and missed calls
  • Log recorded calls to the conversation page
  • Configure automated voicemail messages for missed or after-hours calls

Minutes: Inbound calls and the time spent forwarding them count toward your monthly call minutes.

Local Number with the Calls App

Businesses that prefer a local US phone number can install the dedicated Local Calls App. It allows you to purchase a local number directly in the app and receive client calls to your team.
