Does vCita, Inc. meet Privacy Shield Principles?
Yes. vCita is compliant with Privacy Shield Principles.
Privacy Shield is the set of principles designed for the exchange of personal data, for commercial purposes, between the European Union and United States. While the United States and the European Union share the goal of enhancing privacy protection, the United States takes a different approach to privacy from that taken by the European Union. Given those differences the Department of Commerce issued the Privacy Shield Principles to foster, promote, and develop international commerce.
vCita has certified its compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and subjects all personal data received from the European Union (EU) member countries to the Framework Principles of Notice, Choice, Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability.
