Paypal trouble? We can help

It has come to our attention that many of you are experiencing unusual difficulties with the PayPal-vcita integration. After some investigation, we’ve found that PayPal has made some technical changes on their end, causing the integration to crash in certain scenarios: 

When will the integration work? The integration will work for any clients who have a paypal account and log-into it in order to place the payment.

When will the integration give you a hard time? The integration will not work for clients who do not have a PayPal account, or don’t log-into the account when placing a payment. If a client chooses to place a payment as a guest, using a credit card with no PayPal account, the PayPal dialog will stop responding.

Frustrating. We hear you.

We are working on resolving the issue, and are in touch with PayPal to get this fixed.

What can you do in the meanwhile?

Option 1: Ask your clients to create a PayPal account (it’s free!). When using a PayPal account, they can continue using PayPal to place their payments. 

Options 2: Use an alternative payment processor. vcita supports other processors too, so you can connect your account with Stripe or Square and continue collecting payments online with no hiccups. If you choose Square, you can even process your first $5,000 with no processing fees! We’ll even drop you a neat card reader on the house.
