Getting Tips with Collect Tips

Collect Tips allows your clients to show their appreciation for your hard work by giving them an option to add a tip during online payments.

Purchase Collect Tips

To Purchase Collect Tips:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. In the left panel, go to the App Market.
  3. Find and click on Collect Tips.
  4. Click Purchase App.
  5. Choose your payment method.
  6. Click Submit Purchase to complete your order.

Set Up Collect Tips

To set up Collect Tips:

  1. Open the platform.
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Choose Billing & Invoicing.
  4. Click the Taxes & Tips tab.
  5. Select your preference under "Offer tips when" to enable tipping.
  6. In "Default Tip Options," enter up to three tipping percentages.

Important: You'll need to connect an online payment processor to receive tips.

Note: Collect Tips cannot be disabled for specific services, staff, or clients.

How to Leave a Tip

Tips can only be added through the Client Portal.

To leave a tip:

  1. Open the Client Portal.
  2. Click the Make a Payment button.
  3. Enter the payment details.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Choose the amount you want to tip.
  6. Click Proceed to payment.

Manage Tips

Post-service tipping

Clients can add a tip after paying for a booking or using a prepaid package by visiting the Client Portal and selecting Leave a Tip on the booking list, meeting or invoice.

Add tips manually

You or your staff can add tips manually when recording a payment, charging a card, or after a service is paid for.

  • Recording a payment or charging a card:
  1. Click the Add Tip dropdown menu.
  2. Choose a tip percentage or enter a custom amount.

  • After a service is paid for:
  1. Select the service or product on the Billing & Invoicing page.
  2. Click Add Tip.
  3. Choose a tip percentage or enter a custom amount.

Track your tips

Track your tips on the Payments Received page.

To track your tips:

  1. Open the platform
  2. In the left panel, click Payments.
  3. Select Payments Received.

Note: The "Add Tip" option appears after checkout when you use a package or a 100% discount coupon.
