Sync vcita Appointments to Your Personal Calendar
When a booking request is confirmed, an appointment is rescheduled or canceled, an email confirming the changes will be sent to the email address tied to your vcita account. The email contains an .ics file that allows the appointment to be added or updated on your personal calendar (Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, iCal, etc).
- First, make sure you are receiving your appointment confirmation, rescheduling and appointment cancelation emails to your personal email. If you are not getting booking confirmation emails, they may have ended up in spam or you may need to whitelist vcita. You may also want to check to make sure that all the business-side email templates are enabled under Settings > Email Templates.
- Open the email. Most email service providers will provide the ability to accept the appointment at this stage. Please note that declining the invite does not decline or cancel the appointment in vcita. Please use the options provided in the email to manage a booking.
- The appointment may be accepted automatically, or it may be necessary to manually add the appointment to your calendar. This depends on your calendar service provider and your inbox settings. Please contact your service provider to see what's possible.
