Managing Notification Preferences
Stay informed and in control with our flexible notification system. Discover different notification types, personalize your preferences, and choose the channels that work best for your business needs.
To access notifications:
- Open the platform.
- In the top corner, click the notifications icon

The number of new notifications is displayed in red. Clicking the notifications icon will display a list from the past 30 days.
There are 2 notification types:
- System Notifications: Automatically sent by the system, triggered by overdue payments, appointments needing approval, pre-scheduled announcements etc.
- Client Activity Updates: Interactions and engagements that clients or leads initiated. Includes client inquiries, appointment requests, client messages, documents approved etc.
You can also:
- Mark all as read: Remove unread indicators from all notifications
- Show Only Unread: Filter to show only unread notifications

Notification preferences are defined per staff member. To change preferences for staff as an admin, you must log in as the relevant staff member.
To log in as a staff member:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Click Staff.
- Next to the relevant staff member, click the more options icon
.
- Select Log In As.
Notification Settings
To access notification settings:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Click Notification Settings.
Notification Channels
- Notification pane (In-app): A message in the notification pane marked by a badge indication on the bell icon.
- Inbox (In-app): A message sent to the inbox marked by a badge indication on the Inbox left menu item.
- Email: A message sent directly to the staff member's registered email.
- SMS: A message sent to the staff member's registered mobile device.
Note: Not all notification channels are available for all notification types.
To set notification channels:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Click Notification Settings.
- Click System Notifications or Client Activity Updates.
- Click the notification type. (Payments, scheduling or marketing)
- Check the relevant notification type. (Email and/or in-app)
- Click Save.
Important: To receive mobile push or SMS channels, a staff member must have a valid phone number registered on their staff settings page.
