To connecting your domain to the client portal, you need to first set a CNAME record on your domain registrar, and then make the connection to your vCita account.
Setting a CNAME Record on the Domain Registrar
You will need to set up a CNAME record pointing to connect.vcita.com
A CNAME record includes three fields: Name, Value and TTL (Time-to-Live). For example, if we want to set the client portal domain to be www.mydomain.com, we will use:
- Name: www
- Value: connect.vcita.com
- TTL: Leave as default or change to any value you desire
Note: You can replace "www" with any subdomain of your choice. For example, if you want to use live.mydomain.com, change the Name field from "www" to "live".

Making the Connection on Your vCita Account
After setting a CNAME record, go back to your vCita account and take the following steps:
- Open the Online Presence menu and select Client Portal.
- On the page that opens, click Customize.
- Under Connect your own domain, type the full domain you've set for your client portal (in our example: www.mydomain.com), and click Save.
- Click Done.
