Yes, you can issue a refund, but the workflow will depend on the payment gateway that you have configured in your vCita settings.
If your payment gateway is configured to use Stripe, refunds that are completed from within vCita will record the refund in vCita and Stripe will automatically refund the funds to the client.
If your payment gateway is configured to use PayPal, refunds that are completed from within vCita will only record the refund in vCita, but this will not trigger PayPal to issue a refund and no currency will be exchanged.
