Changes to SMS Service, Compliance, and Fines
As of January 1, 2024, there are new regulations in place that may result in fines for messaging traffic violations on all mobile channels, including SMS and MMS Short Codes, Toll-free Numbers, and 10DLC in the USA.
If a violation of these regulations is detected, vcita will be notified by its carriers and will promptly inform you, providing details about the infraction and the corresponding fine.
We are committed to the highest standards of compliance and offer a platform for legitimate and responsible usage of SMS. Therefore, our platform may not be used for phishing, social engineering, illegal content (including but not limited to sexual, hate, alcohol, firearms, and tobacco-related content), and more.
In the event vcita is fined by its mobile carriers as a result of violations such as the ones listed above, the fines will be applied and charged to the account that performed this violation. Please visit our terms and conditions to learn more about fines.
Although vcita may implement traffic monitoring mechanisms, we strongly encourage you to monitor your own network content for compliance. This proactive approach will help ensure a smooth and compliant messaging experience for your business.
SMS is a great way to keep your clients engaged and up-to-date with your latest services and offers. Let’s work together to ensure fair and legitimate use of this powerful channel.
