Getting Started with app.rove
To purchase app.rove:
- Open the platform.
- Click App Market.
- Click app.rove.
- Click Purchase App.
- Confirm.
Requesting Signatures with app.rove
To request a signature:
- In the platform, click Clients.
- Click the relevant client.
- At the top of the page, click New.
- Click Request Signature.
- Drag and drop or click to upload the document.
- Leave "Notify Clients by Email" checked, or uncheck not to send an email notification.
- Under "Assigned Staff", click the caret icon
and select the relevant staff member.
- Click Request.
The client will receive an email that includes a link to the Client Portal, notifying them that they have a pending signature request.
Important: The legal validity of electronic signatures depends on the law and the territory under which the documents are being signed. Please consult a trusted legal professional for more information on what is required for your jurisdiction.
Client Signatures via the Client Portal
Clients must sign documents via the client portal. The client can preview and/or download the document and then decide to approve or reject it. When they click Approve, a signature box will open and the client will be asked to sign.
When you send multiple documents to a client, the client will be required to sign each file separately.
After signing, a new PDF file will be generated. This new version of the document will include your client's signature on every page, in the bottom right-hand corner. An additional page will be added to the document with the client’s name, signature, and the date it was signed.
Clients can also view and/or download the signed PDF.
A notification will be sent to your inbox notifying you that the client has either signed or rejected the document.
Important: The signature location can’t be changed and may block parts of the document. This does not invalidate the signing.
Tracking Signature Requests
To check the status of a request:
- Open the platform.
- Click Clients.
- Click the relevant client.
- Click Documents.
- Next to "Client Approved", click the caret icon
to see signed documents.
- Next to "Sent to Client", click the caret icon
to see pending/rejected documents.
Uploading Signable Documents
You can upload frequently used documents on the platform's document library so they can be quickly sent to clients without having to upload them every time.
To add documents:
- Open the platform.
- Click Documents.
- Under "My Documents", click Signable Documents.
- Click Upload Signable Documents.
- Drag and drop or click to upload the document(s).
- Click Upload.
You can now find the documents in your "Signable Documents" library for easy access.
FAQ
Which file types can I get request signatures for?
We currently support all types of images (PNG, JEPG, TIFF, BMP), PDF files, and word documents. Once signed, all files will be converted into PDFs.
Will I still have access to all my signable documents and client signatures If I uninstall app.rove?
Yes, all your documents and signatures will still be available under the "Document" tab of the relevant client card. You will not be able to upload new signable documents or request a client's signature.
